The benefits of cost management software

Mar 15, 2022

A webinar recording, featuring Jamie Brenton, Brebur Ltd, and Joe Cillia, FIS

Around 3 years ago, Brebur Ltd invested in a cost management software solution called Chalkstring. In this webinar recording, we hear how this transformed their business and why having estimating, procurement, variations, payment applications and value engineering integrated and managed on the same platform has been a real game-changer for Brebur.

In this podcast

In this podcast we hear from Jamie Brenton, Managing Director of Brebur Limited. Brebur is a specialist SFS, dry-lining, plastering and suspended ceiling company based in Yorkshire, delivering projects throughout the North of England.

This webinar was the first of a series of events we are running this year in collaboration with the Finishes and Interiors Sector. Asking the questions on this episode is Joe Cillia, Technical Director of the Finishes and Interiors Sector. We also hear briefly on the podcast from Sarah Crawford and Barry Chapman, Director and Managing Director of Chalkstring. We are grateful to the FIS, Chalkstring and Jamie Brenton from Brebur Ltd for giving us permission to republish this webinar as an edited podcast.

Key benefits of the software are discussed, including how:

  • Chalkstring has helped Brebur manage price increases.
  • Brebur’s procurement process has been transformed.
  • Chalkstring has simplified the value engineering process.
  • The solution helps manage pricing and variations.
  • Information management and communication has improved overall.
